Our name comes from this old Filipino tradition—Bayanihan—where the whole community helps one family move their house. Picture it: neighbors lifting a bamboo house, carrying it together to a new spot. Everyone pitching in, everyone playing a part. That’s exactly how we approach team building.

Our Story
Some of us have been doing this for a long time. Our Chief Team Facilitator started leading team-building sessions back in 2007. Right from the start, we knew team building wasn’t just about having fun—it was about solving real problems in organizations.
We get people to play games, but there’s always a purpose. We design activities that change the way people think and feel about teamwork. We give them the chance to see what real collaboration looks like and how it can transform their work.
Our programs are built around what we call the ten building blocks of successful teams. These are the key skills that help team members perform at their best. We’ve always referred to our sessions as workshops because we believe in learning by doing. We don’t just play games for the sake of it; we play to teach these vital team competencies.
In 2012, we took things to the next level with a series of team-building programs for government employees—hundreds of them. We called it Lingkod Bayanihan.
It was during this time that we realized that the skills we were teaching were already embedded in Bayanihan, that deep sense of community and helping each other out.
And this isn’t just something the government needs—every team, in every organization, can benefit from embracing a Bayanihan mindset.
At first, Team Bayanihan was just one of many programs we offered. But when SLCI was incorporated, we knew we had something special. That’s when we decided to make Team Bayanihan its own brand, focused entirely on professional team-building facilitation, bringing the Bayanihan spirit to teams everywhere.
